Job responsibilities
- Sustainability Consultant responsibilities include
- Utilize expertise in ESG landscape, regulatory mandates, reporting frameworks, rating agencies, and industry best practices.
- Assist clients in defining sustainability objectives and strategies through tasks like conducting materiality assessments, comparing with industry standards, performing ESG due diligence, and evaluating ESG risks and opportunities.
- Help clients effectively implement sustainability strategies by setting ESG targets, planning for implementation, monitoring performance, and reporting.
- Supervise projects from start to finish, which involves spearheading proposals, monitoring financial progress, organizing and delegating daily project tasks, and acting as the primary liaison for clients.
- Supervise and mentor junior staff to support the technical and professional growth of our expanding ESG Advisory team.
- Take charge of producing proposals, technical work artifacts, and presentations in a dynamic and rapidly evolving setting.
- Encourage showcasing thought leadership by creating blogs, white papers, and briefing documents, as well as engaging in industry and technical advisory groups and conference panels.
- Enhance business growth by engaging with current and prospective clients, showcasing expertise, and demonstrating a commitment to practicing what is preached.
- Demonstrate your ability to synthesize evidence from multiple sources and simplify intricate concepts into easily understandable messages to effectively communicate with internal and external audiences, including executives.
- Nurture client relationships by comprehending and interpreting their requirements, stakeholder concerns, and overarching business goals.
- Fieldwork might involve exposure to the elements, such as harsh weather conditions.
Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Environmental Sciences
- Minimum 8 years work experience in the ESG advisory culture
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with our staff and faculty
- Ability to work effectively both on an individual basis and as part of a team
- Strong computer skills to maintain accurate and complete documentation
